Just a friendly reminder to all you trustees of charitable and other organisations out there which have owned property for a while. If there have been any changes in the trustees since your organisation purchased the property and you have not recently done so, we would recommend checking that the property is currently registered at HM Land Registry in the names of current trustees.

It can be costly and cause delays in future transactions involving the property if it is registered in the name of past or retired trustees who might, for example, have died, moved to whereabouts unknown or are otherwise incapacitated.

If you would like any assistance from us in this regard, we are still open during the usual office hours.
