The commercial property team here at Fiona Bruce are still open for business as usual. We are continuing to work with our clients and everyone else involved to get matters completed wherever possible despite a few logistical difficulties such as delays in the postal system and parties executing documents while in lockdown. 

Contrary to what one might expect, many transactions are not materially affected by the current economic climate and despite some gloomy forecasts, there still appears to be optimism for the future post COVID 19. For example, pension funds continue to purchase premises, developers are still keen to snap up new sites, rights of way and other easements are still required and options to purchase land are being granted

New leases are still being entered into sometimes with longer initial rent-free periods to combat the very real practical issue of premises not being allowed to open in the short term.
