Recently, three Solicitors from the Fiona Bruce LLP Wills and Probate team – Anna Barfield, Rachel Keegan and Jessica Newton – attended the latest Regional Conference from STEP – The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. STEP is an international body of professionals who specialise in advising individuals and families on inheritance and succession planning, the drafting of wills and trusts and estate administration.

Key Updates on Inheritance Tax and Wills from the 2024 STEP Conference

As ever, the presentation topics arranged by the STEP Cheshire committee provided invaluable insights and topical issues – to ensure that we are right up to date in advising our clients in this area. Topics included a discussion on the impact of the 2024 Autumn budget – which underlined the need for many individuals to review their inheritance tax planning and wills – and a summary of developments anticipated for the remainder of 2025 relating to wills and probate practice.
