Launch of Agricultural Department 

We have, for many years, provided a comprehensive property service to our clients covering their residential, commercial and agricultural requirements. We are however pleased to announce that as part of our ongoing expansion, we are proud members of the Agricultural Law Association. The Association is a UK wide recognised body of professional land agents, surveyors, accountants and solicitors specialising and agricultural and rural services. 

We are particularly proud that our Chris Porter is an accredited Fellow of the ALA. Accreditation as a Fellow is an industry wide badge of excellence requiring of a rigorous training course together with written examination and we are proud to have an ALA Fellow within our commercial team.

Our services remain unchanged however we now carry the ALA logo on our website and have access to ALA resources together with extensive network of ALA contacts and associates enabling us to provide a more technical and comprehensive service to our rural clients.

We are able to assist in connection with may aspects of rural property work including (but not exclusive to):

  • Negotiation of Wayleaves, Deeds of Easement;

COVID-19 Update 

The Rural Payments Agency (England) has issued updated guidance (last updated 27th April). This useful guide provides information for farmers, land owners and rural businesses during the coronavirus outbreak. The guide provides a useful update with regard to extension of the previous deadlines in connection with the BPS applications, Countryside Stewardship revenue claims, Environmental Stewardship Schemes and Woodland Legacy revenue claims together with information regarding the Farming Recovery Fund.

There has been significant level of discussion with regard to public rights of way during the COVID-19 outbreak. Governments and their agencies have published their guidance and, in the specific case of Wales, new laws were published on the 24th April. Further guidance can be found by following the link below:
